It's A Plaid, Plaid World

(I think there should be a few more Plaids in there, but I got tired of typing, and I'm sure you get the idea.)

When I saw the current Little Tangles challenge:

I knew I had to play.

Here's my card, then I'll explain:

I made the plaid using the On The Strip 2 set, and three different inks. The colors were chosen for two challenges that had very similar colors (I love when that happens):

 Just Add Ink:

and Colour Me ...!:

Here's my card again so I can see it when I start explaining:

I played several times with making the plaid, and I used this one since it was the straightest. I made a second one that I like better, but it wasn't stamped straight enough to cut straight and not leave you with vertigo, so I used it on another card for a different challenge.

The colors I used for the plaid were Hero Arts Tide Pool, Butter Bar, and Charcoal. After I trimmed out the straightest part of the design and stuck it to the card front, I added a sentiment from Lawn Fawn, popped up on foam tape.

I thought it still needed something, so I added some Neat & Tangled Summer Sun sequins at a few of the intersecting charcoal lines.

This is a great sketch. So great, in fact, I played it again. See my next post for my second entry.

Thanks for stopping by!

ETA: Squee! I got an honorable mention at the Little Tangles blog!
