The New Goods are IN DA HOUSE!

My box of new SU goodies arrived today, and I am H A P P Y !!! Lookie:

OMG. Do you see all that RRRRRRRRRRRIBBON?!?!?! Here's the new In Color style this year:

Sorry the photo is fuzzy. I was holding the ribbon in one hand and trying to take the pic with my other, and I was shaking with delight, so, well, it's a blur. But you get the idea, right?

Here's some of the new satin ribbon:

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

This is one of the new Simply Sent kits that I HAD to get:

Yes, I got the coordinating stamp set, too. You 'll see this again, momentito.

This guy will see paper before the weekend:

Oh, yes. I have bigbigbig plans for this guy. You can see some of the new bling at the top of the pic.

When I ordered this new Neutrals DSP stack, I thought it was 6x6, since I didn't read the description, but nope - it's 12x12:

YAY! More paper than I'll ever use in my lifetime! Ohboy!

In a Good Demo Moment, I bought one each of the Sizzix organizers. This is the small one:

... and here is what it looks like closed:

I also have bigbigbig plans for these, but I'll devote another post to my organization attempts.

Are you ready for some cards? Here is one:

This uses the Greenhouse Gala DSP, the Friends Never Fade set (which I didn't pre-order), and some of the new taffeta ribbon. I used the rock-n-roll technique on the flower, with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie inks.

And here are the cards from the Simply Sent kit. First, the vanilla one:

... and the yellow one:

I used Soft Suede ink with the Engraved Greetings stamp set. This is seriously heavy-weight card stock. And it's like Letterpress - textured... really rich-feeling. Since there are only 4 of each card in the kit, I strongly advise the use of the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to align the greeting. I actually thought of that before I stamped it. (I need to rough up the stamp a bit so it stamps a little smoother. Or I could say I meant to do that ...)

That's it for tonight, but I do have another FIVE-DAY WEEKEND ahead, so after tomorrow, you'll see a LOT more of the new stuff. Promise.

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I hope you didn't tackle the poor UPS guy! That's a box full of goodness right there! I got a catalog the other day and that little owl punch will be coming to live with me soon, too. I had to have the bird punch and it's pretty lonely (no, I haven't used it yet) so the owl can keep it company.

  3. Ribbons and owls and bling...oh! my!!!! What a wonderful box of goodies, I am fair drooling. It's such a pity the UK catalogues don't have everything you guys can get your little mitts on. Just ordered the new Kraft colour ink pad, which I've forgotten the real name of, it's something yummy sounding. Can't wait to see what else you create. Adore that first card you've done. So vibrant and summery. xx
