SOS Challenge #25 - Stickers, Rub-ons or Chipboard

This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is Stickers, Rub-ons or Chipboard. And I must confess: this one was my idea. Why? Because I am OVER-RUN with the things. Why, WHY, for the love of all that is good, WHY do I keep buying them?!?!?

You know how they say if you are young and want kids, try babysitting someone else's kids, not just over-night, but have them over for a weekend, or a week? Funny how it kills that instinct dead, isn't it? I looked at this challenge as the same thing: use them until you no longer like them, and they'll go away in the process. WIN-WIN!

So in keeping with the goal of SOS: to SHOP OUR STASH, I did, and I disappeared a TON of these things. I hope to never buy them again. Well, unless they're really cute, you know ...

Let's get started, shall we?

First, I found two packages of these:

I cut them apart and rubbed them onto several cream card bases. I rubbed until my body ached. THIS IS HARD WORK! The 'happy' and 'birthday' are actually stickers, not a rub-on. Ooooh, she's getting fancy now, eh?

After I got tired of those rub-ons, I moved on to a pack of these:

I made five cards from the pack (only one floofy peacock like this), but I decided I hate, er intensely dislike them. Not feeling the love.

THEN I moved on to a pack of these:

These are plastic-y stickers, and I actually LOVE them. I divided them up and made several cards with three stickers each:

THEN I went back to my package of SRM stickers and made these:

Yeah, I made about 15 cards, and I think it's safe to say I'm "over" rub-ons and stickers for a while. See, immersion does work! I've disappeared a bunch of them, and I don't see myself buying more any time soon. I'm free! I'm free! Um, except for that sheet of sticker letters I picked up last weekend, but we won't talk about those. ;/

Now it's your turn! Go into your stash, find some rub-ons or stickers or chipboard that you just HAD to own at the time, and use them! Then go over to Shopping Our Stash and link us up so we can see what you've made!

Thanks for stopping by!
