SOS #100 Mother's Day or Pink

Happy Tuesday! It's time for another Shopping Our Stash challenge. This week we ask you to make a Mother's Day card -OR- you can make a card for any occasion as long as your primary color is pink. And by pink we mean at least 60% of it has to be pink.

Guess which one *I* chose? HA! Not (gah) pink! So here is my Mother's Day card:

Once again I'm channeling Jennifer McGuire, but I just love how this looks, so I'm going with it. I used a Hero Arts floral set, since I thought flowers would work for Mother's Day, and I stamped them in threes to help with balance. The solid flowers are stamped in Butter Bar, the red and orange flowers were colored with Copics, The little circles and green thingies are from a Paper Smooches set. The circles were stamped in Soft Cantaloupe and Pale Tomato, and the leaves were colored with a Memento Cottage Ivy marker.

Then, because the flowers needed something, I put some black bling into the centers of the red flowers, mostly because it's out on my desk all the time, and I need to use them more. I dotted the, um, dots on the red flowers with black Enamel Accents, and I also added some black Enamel Accents to the centers of the yellow flowers. They started out as dots, but, well, they morphed. I added some white dots with my gel pen to some of the circles in the centers of the big orange fleurs.

I'm happy with how this turned out. :)

Now it's YOUR turn. If you are into all things pink, have at it! Otherwise, go forth and make a Mother's Day card. Then come back to Shopping Our Stash and link us up so we can see what you've made!

Thanks for stopping by!

Products used but not linked below: Misc black bling, A Muse Studio sentiment from the Essentials Sentiments set.
