Missing You

I have a major project working in my spare bedroom, and it involves paint. Craft paint. LOTS of craft paint. I am not in love with the results of said project, so to drown my sorrows, I've been taking lots of breaks and making cards. I think I need to feel like I can actually make something that doesn't totally suk.

For this card, I combined two challenges. A color challenge from Colour Me!:

and a sketch from Unscripted Sketches:

I turned the sketch on its ear, and this is what came out:

For the colors I went with my pack of Flair paper from MME. The sketch elements should be pretty clear, but I didn't use any twine -- didn't think it looked right, so I stamped some hearts instead.

I really like this one. :)

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to glare at some paint.

Thanks for stopping by!

Products used: misc black brads, SU basic Black card stock, and the following:

  4. Your card is just great. I love the way the hearts seem to come from the 'missing you' sentiment! Take heart on your painting project! We've had a few bloopers over the years, and they usually still turn out just fine... except for the times they didn't! lol sorry! Thanks for playing along at Colour Me...! this week!
