Just A Note

I actually played a few sketch challenges today, so I have something to post. This card is for the current (current, I KNOW) CAS(E) This Sketch!:

I did a quite literal interpretation of the sketch:

It was just too perfect not to do it this way! *whine* I did add a layer, and I finally broke out my Lil' Inker Cloud Sky die because the clouds are so tiny.

I was so proud of myself for layering the die-cut on a piece of blue for the sky that I forgot to color the hill, so it looks like snow, even though I've colored the trees for SPRING! And I'd appreciate if you'd notice the very tiny colored window and door in the teeny tiny house. I saved them from the die cutting and stuck them back in at the end.

And for those of you who have the 1/8" Corner Chomper and don't know when you'd ever use it, this is when you'd use it. I rounded the corners of the two layers, and then did the same with the base. The 1/8" is very subtle, and just leaves things without a sharp edge. I rather like it. :)

I have a few more cards to share, so I'll be back later.

Thanks for stopping by!

Products used: Lil' Inker Cloud Sky die, Tombow adhesive, SU Garden Green card stock, and the following:

  3. I didn't even think of snow when I saw it, I think it's lovely. Good job on the window and door -those had to be fiddly to put back.

  5. I like it! It made me think of a spring day right up until you pointed out the ground was white. Then I realized it was a spring day in Michigan, but you know, it still works. I didn't think that evil 4-lettered word snow. Nope, nope, not once.
