When I saw the current CAS(E) This Sketch! challenge:
I knew I needed to play, and I was NOT going to use circles. Too obvious.
I was at a friend's house looking through her stamps, and found the Paper Smooches Bee Mine set, which is one I actually don't own. I thought it would be fun to use bees at the top and upside-down lady bugs at the bottom, but my pal thought I should make them all lady bugs, and this is what came out:
I think she was right - I love it! I thought about adding Glossy Accents to the lady bugs, but I'm still undecided.
To get the images straight (!) I put a piece of washi tape across the white panel, then stamped the lady bugs. I went back and added strips of black washi tape for some delineation. The sentiment is from the Birthday Buddies set. I like that it has the words separate so I didn't have to cut up her stamps; I might not have been invited back. Actually, I would have waited until I got home and used my own stamps for that. :)
She had the perfect red card stock in her "every color red" collection, and I mounted it all on a white card base.
I made another version, but I'll post it separately so I can link both to the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!
Stuff I used: Miscellaneous washi tape and red card stock, and the following:
