Spot The Mistake!

Hello, fair readers! Today I bring you another episode of Spot The Mistake. For those of you unfamiliar with this concept, please remember I might be a bit anal-retentive about spelling, and I tend to go back and fix things in my posts that spell-check missed.

But every now and then, I offer up a Spot The Mistake opportunity for you to pick apart my post and find the mistake yourself.

The post in question this time is yesterday's SOS post. Please read that post, but enter your comment/correction on this post.

I will pick a winner from all responses, probably in some unfair and non-scientific manner, and send you something from my stash. It's a WIN-WIN for all of us!

Have fun!

  1. I spotted 'stated' when you meant to write 'started'

  2. Well I spotted 'stated' too, when it should read 'started'. And honestly I did spot it before reading the previous comment!

  3. It all stated with that piece of music paper - should be started.

  4. "It all stated..." should have been "It all started..." I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't asked. And I wouldn't have pointed it out otherwise. I spot typos of mine after my posts have published, and I cringe, especially since I always proofread them before publishing!

  5. What they said^. But I would like to second the motion to make 'stash-a-liscious' a real word.

  6. I have also noticed your stated started deliberate mistake, I also thought you had spelt traveled wrong, but I think it maybe an English/American spelling difference :) we spell with a double L case your wondering :)

  7. You said in the post..."It all stated with that piece of music paper I've had in my crop bag for at least a year." It should read "It all STARTED..." Hope I'm right!

  8. I also spotted stated instead of started, but also? (Since you're asking us to pick on you...) I might have spelled it "stash-a-licious" without the s before the c. Made-up words have rules, right? LOL! You are so brave! I just quietly slink back and correct mistakes when/if I find them. :P

  9. Stated, you silly. I had to read it twice to catch it - I'm so used to texting now that I think my brain is getting too used to reading what people MEANT to say :)

  10. I noticed the stated (vs started) yesterday and thought at the time that is so unlike Leslie. Spellcheck should come with context check too!
