Starry Birthday

When I saw my pal Lydia's card here, I knew I needed to see how she made it and CASE her idea. I went to the free printable graph paper web site and printed out a few sheets of different sizes and shapes of grids, then I used one of them to make this:

Oh, look, it's crooked.

I cut the star shape from the graph paper, then colored it with three colors of Copics. I then die-cut the same shape from some fun foam and used it as a layer behind the star.

I was following the current MFT Sketch Challenge, and I didn't even mix it up - I just went with the original sketch:

  5. I'm a big fan of grids and should either be mathematically inclined or a gamer, but I'm neither. Love this idea and the colors.
