In Which I Disappear Lots of Pretty Paper

A while ago, maybe over a year ago, I picked up a pack of Me And My Big Ideas (MAMBI) card stock. Well, I thought it was card stock. In reality, it was a pack of pre-scored cards, but I didn't find that out until much later, when I pulled it out to use it and found the score lines (and read the words on the cover). I knew I wouldn't use the cards, so I cut them into panels to use as A2 card fronts. The panels are actually bigger than A2, which gave me options. I whined about this entire situation here, too.

This weekend I was looking through the bags of s-crap in The Abyss, and found the pre-cut panels of card stock. Finally, last night, I used most of them to make 16 cards for OWH. I followed the current Wanna Sketch challenge over at Dahlhouse Designs:

I'm not very good at this angle thing, but mine are close. Here's one:

I used all 8 panels of this paper and some Tide Pool card stock. All 16 of the cards have the same sentiment. The circle behind the sentiment is Hero Arts Punch card stock. Love that stuff! It's not a RED red and it's not (gah) pink, but it's just right for a lot of what I make.

Here is the second card:

Different stripe, and again - 8 of them, this time on Shallows card stock bases. I thought they looked unfinished, so I colored some wood veneer hearts and glued them onto the card fronts. I'm now almost out of veneer hearts - whoot!

So except for waiting for glue to dry, these were very fast to make. And 16 more cards for OWH - we all win!

I hope to tackle the remains of that MAMBI card stock stack today. This morning I worked on the unpacked boxes in the garage and made an enormous dent, so I think I shall reward myself with some crafty time. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Those are awesome and you nailed the angle - I can't line anything straight so I take advantage of angles LOL

  5. Hi Leslie, Thanks for stopping by Puddin N Pie blog. I used glossy accents to attached the sequins and then I dabbed more glossy accents on top of the sequins. I didn't want them falling off in the mail.
