I've been cleaning and organizing all day, so I took a break to play this week's Moxie Fab World: Tuesday Trigger challenge, which is Finesse the Dress:
My first thought was some pretty paper I bought yesterday at The Paper Source. I went in for 5x7 envelopes and came out with those and three parent sheets. I am weak. One of them was perfect for this challenge, though. Lookie:
The patterned turquoise of the bottom of the dress made me think of this paper, even though it's gold and turquoise. It's like a heavy-weight Mulberry paper, and I wet it to tear a piece to fit my card front. It's layered on a piece of SU Brushed Gold card stock, and wrapped with some (retired) SU gold cord. The charm is from my stash (from the now-no-longer Custer's Last Stamp).
I was going to leave it without a sentiment, but decided to add the gold Class A Peel sticker. Here's some detail of the paper, charm and sentiment:
A fun and easy card. :) I love the papers I get at The Paper Source. They are gorgeous and can stand on their own without a lot of embellishment.
In other news, I've taken some photos of my re-arranging efforts today, so I'll post those later. I'll include details on a giveaway that resulted from the pruning portion of the show. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Perfect! Now when you are done organizing your space - head on over!ReplyDelete
Beautiful card-I used PS for my moxie fab entry too!!!ReplyDelete
Love this colour with the gold cord and charm
that card is absolutely perfect for that inspiration picture...and wow, you have been busy in your room...I have those ikea boxes too...don't make them too heavy or they fall apart and it really hurts your toes when everything lands on your feet!ReplyDelete
I love it! And IMO, the gold isn't too "bright" on your paper, so you can get away with it, even though the pic is silver/charcoal/greyish.ReplyDelete
Yay for run on sentences :P
Hey Leslie! Thanks for linking this up to this week's Tuesday Trigger in the Moxie Fab World! I'm so glad you joined in on all the fun! :)ReplyDelete
