SOS #133: Use Something New

It's Tuesday, and time for another challenge over at Shopping Our Stash. For the new year, we'd like you to use something new. That's right - go open something, either something you got for the holidays or (like me) something you've had for a while but not used yet.

Here's my card, then I'll explain:

Yes, that's a baby card. A bag of elephant buttons made it into my basket during a recent trip to a big box craft store. I went there not for stamping items, no no no no. I went in search of some supplies to make a project for someone, and along the way, we wandered past the button aisle and I spotted these cute elephant buttons. Even though I don't make many baby cards, and I rarely use orange, it was something I needed.

Saturday I had a crafty afternoon with a friend, and I brought along only the new stuff I wanted to use, including this pack of buttons, and I actually used them! Whoot! I also used my never-opened Simon Says Stamp baby words and die. Yay, me! :D

Why not play along? Did you get some new stuff lately? I think you should open it and use it. :)  If you do, come on over to Shopping Our Stash and link us up so we can see!

Thanks for stopping by!

Products used: Misc buttons, white crochet thread, and the following:

  5. That's so cute. At first glance I thought the elephant was a die cut. A button! Ha!
