I've been a lurker over on Stamping 411 for quite some time, but the challenges either get buried in my "I'll get to it eventually" pile, or I get inspired by it but I don't use SU-only stuff, so I can't play. Today might be the first time I've played AND made it SU-only. Here is the sketch:
I thought it would be a great design to use more of my Just Eat Cake papers, so I tried the sketch and made this:
Yeah, another one done literally to the sketch. I ended up modifying the sizes of the paper pieces a little because, as we all know by now, I am incapable of cutting two pieces to exactly the right size much less three pieces.
I've been cutting out that stamped image (from one of the soon-to-be released Hostess sets: Happiest Birthday Wishes) with a circle, but I just realized (!) it is designed to fit into the scallop punch (of course it is). I ended up cutting the black circle for under that scallop shape with my Circle Cutter that I keep stored under my cabinets. :)
That's it for this challenge. I'm off to stamp some more.
Thanks for stopping by!

Great job with this sketch. Love the paper combo. Thanks for sharing your creation with us.ReplyDelete
I had trouble getting the three pieces to line up properly also, a little adjusting was all that was needed. You seem to have gotten your dsp exactly straight. Looks wonderful.ReplyDelete
Love that new DSP and the stamp is so cute! Great job with the sketch!ReplyDelete
What a fun card! I love your mix of papers!ReplyDelete
