It was driving me crazy. So I did what I normally do to find something I'm sure I'll never see again: I ordered another one.
This morning I decided I needed to
I even cleared off my standing desk. It was bad, real bad. Funny how the I MUST SAVE THIS TINY SCRAP becomes "meh" when purging. It's very therapeutic. :) While cleaning my desk, I found some stamps that needed to be put away, and while I was in the Holiday stamp drawer, I spied some Memory Box dies. *lightbulb* I went through them, and lo and behold, I found my tree die!! Whoot!
My goal now is to work only out of these organized piles of papers until the Heaplet dwindles. As such, I decided to finally play the current (and almost over) challenge at A Blog Named Hero, which is run by my stampy peeps Mary Dawn and Linda. This challenge is to use a sentiment stamp for something other than a sentiment.
So I had this idea ... I'd use a Happy Birthday sentiment with the Happy part as petals of a flower. Here's what came out:
MelStampz. Even the white banner was in my UFO pile.
I punched the chevron with my now-open SU punch. Next I cut apart (I DID) my Hero Arts Happy Birthday stamp, and stamped the Happy on each petal in Memento black. The center was a mess of over-stamping which I fixed with a black button. I stamped the Birthday part of the sentiment on the banner, and wham, bam, thank you, ma'am -- I was done. Okay, I rounded the corners before assembly, then I was done.
Ya know, if I can just focus, I bet I can make a healthy dent in that Heaplet. I'll be sure to give regular progress reports. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
