Someone asked me for Welcome Baby cards and I saw an opportunity to use some of my remaining PTI stash of baby papers, so I made two:
The zebra is from a Paper Smooches set and the welcome is from an SU Baby set. I think this is the first time I've used either one. It's also been forever since I've used my SU grosgrain ribbon. Wow.
I thought purple would be more for a girl, so to boy-ize one I used green and some of the stars papers:
And yes, the lighting is totally different between the two cards. I have a new camera and the settings are waaaay different than my old one. Plus, I suk at photography, so there's that. I hope to settle on a setting one day soon.
Because I was so smart and put a strip of paper across the middle of this one, I didn't have anywhere to put a ribbon, so I improvised. I punched two holes in the panel and fed the ribbon through. Done. The charm on the first card was tied around the ribbon with some SU linen thread, but for this one I actually used a needle and thread to secure it through the holes I used for the ribbon. It's not going anywhere.
And for my major coup, I didn't have a Welcome Baby stamp, or even just a baby stamp that I thought would work here, so I used some old old old old SU rub-ons and cut out the word baby from two of them. Problem solved.
Okay, I'm going back in for more stamping. Thanks for stopping by!
I would totally love to be a fly on the wall (or a cat at the windowsill) when you're having a stabby crafty moment. Well done in the end.
