SOS #99 - All About Numbers

Happy Tuesday! It's time for a new challenge over at Shopping Our Stash. This week we ask you to use numbers on your card. That's right, numbers. You know you've got 'em:  miscellaneous number stickers, number stamps, number themed paper, number dies, metal numbers, anything with a number will work!

I may or may not have all of the above *ahem* ... I mean, come on, you just never know when you might need a number or two, am I right? That must explain the partial box of felt numbers I have in my "miscellaneous" drawer. So I challenged myself to use them, and this is what came out:

It all started with that numbers background stamp that was still out from making my Dad's birthday card. I decided to go with primary colors so I could use the primary felt numbers (there are also some pastel numbers, but I'll save those for another time). I think I did too good of a job lining the blue 8 up with the stamped number 8, since it looks all white in the middle and kinda blurry. The other felt numbers have some stamped images peeking through.

These numbers are so old (how old are they? and if you don't know that reference, I'm sorry for you) ... okay, they are so old that when I peeled off the backing they were no longer sticky, so I had to attach them with some glossy accents. Nothing is easy in my world.

I tried to line up the felt numbers with their corresponding printed numbers, and that left a big ole empty in the top left, so I wrapped a piece of left-over orange ribbon around the corner and called it good.

I layered it all onto a piece of SU Night of Navy card stock, and put a thin strip of navy above the stripey paper I stamped with my Impression Obsession Random Lines stamp and Butter Bar ink.

Since the numbers were out, I made two more:

I didn't add any orange ribbon to these, but I think they are okay.

I hope these will be good boy birthday cards for OWH.

Okay then, now it's YOUR turn. Go into your stash and pull out some of your hoarded and neglected numbers (stickers, paper, stamps, dies, etc.), use them on a card, then come back to Shopping Our Stash and link us up so we can see what you've made!

Thanks for stopping by!
