Creative Avoidance, Part First

And so it begins. As I suspected, I headed straight for the stamp room and began to make cards. I took out all my Memory Box papers (second only to Basic Grey in the hoarding category) and made myself use some of them.

First, I selected this paper from the Rhubarb Tart paper pack to make some note cards:

Did you notice I cut it sideways? Yeah, those lines are horizontal on the paper, but not after *I* got done with them. ;/ It's subtle enough to pass.

Next I selected two papers from the Gossamer paper pack and made these:

I had to break open my Soft Subtles 12x12 textured card stock for the bases. I can't believe I've never opened it.

Then, just to be different, I made three regular-sized cards:

The paper is also from the Gossamer paper pack, and this is how I deal with papers that have designs like trees - I make them the focal point of the card. There were three pieces of this paper, so I used them all. The layers are Rose Red and Basic Black, and the card base is Naturals White. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

I am fairly certain there will be at least one more episode of creative avoidance before the long weekend is over, so stay tuned! :)

And thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love papers like that, that nearly make the card all by themselves :) Beautiful!
